About DentistAvailable

DentistAvailable is an independent directory of dental practices in the United States, organised by state, city, and what each practice actually does. Alongside the listings we publish plain-English guides on what treatment costs, how dental insurance really works, and which specialist handles which problem.

Where the listing data comes from

Practice names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, and coordinates come from Overture Maps, an open map dataset. We filter it to dental categories, drop non-providers, remove duplicates, and classify each practice into a specialty using its category and name.

Two things follow from that. First, the service lists shown on a listing page are typical for that specialty, not confirmed with the practice. Second, data ages. Practices move, merge, and close. Always call before you travel, and use the “suggest a correction” link on any listing that is wrong. Corrections go straight to hello@dentistavailable.com.

What we are not

DentistAvailable is not a dental provider, not a referral service, and not a booking platform. Nothing on this site is medical or dental advice, and a listing here is not an endorsement or a statement about quality of care. Decisions about your own treatment belong between you and a licensed dentist.

One thing the name should not be taken to mean: we do not know any practice’s appointment book. “Available” here means available to you in the sense of within reach, which practices and which specialties exist near you, and what the routes to affordable care are. It does not mean a practice has an open slot this week, is accepting new patients, or takes your insurance. We hold no hours, no booking data, and no live capacity information, so call before you travel. Nobody can pay to be listed here or to rank higher.

How the site is funded

This site contains affiliate links and may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Advertising units are labelled as such wherever they appear. Being an advertiser does not buy a placement in the directory, influence how practices are listed or ordered, or change what our guides say. Full details are on the disclosure page.
